Archive for acceptances

Huzzah!

It’s been another long, bruising sort of week culimnating in a rather grey and windy Sunday, but I’m happy to report that The Tulane Review has accepted my poem ‘HE (2)’ for their Spring 2012 issue.

Bonus points to my hobbled psyche that this marks, finally, my first publication in a print journal.

And now JMWW has informed me they’ve taken two of my poems, ‘Line Static’ and ‘lift’.

This now makes as many acceptances in two days as I had up until now since beginning to send out. Not sure what to say, I’m just feeling very grateful to get these poems out there & to feel at least a little legitimate again.

I’ll try to quit spam-posting now.

Don’t look now…

But suddenly I’m feeling twelve kinds of silly for my recent personal melodramatics RE: poetry rejections. The Nashville Review has taken ‘Stray Dog Prayers’ for their next issue; I’m very excited to be appearing alongside the likes of D.A. Powell. This poem in particular has been one I’ve been hammering almost constantly for the last 3-4 years, nice to get it out in the world (and out of my head).

Great start to the week! Time to ride this momentum while it’s here and send out some more.
